Contact: Joanna Norris, Assistant Director
Department of Media Relations and Events
Florida’s Small Business Resource Network is hosting a one-day workshop on Wednesday, May 16, at the University of North Florida University Center from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., covering all aspects of completing a successful business sale or purchase. Networking and breakfast begin at 7:30 a.m.
The workshop, “Buying or Selling a Business: Be Informed—Reduce Your Risk,” is designed to assist business owners and prospective owners considering buying or selling a business. For the first time ever, all the advisors and professionals involved in the buy/sell transaction will assemble in one place—business brokers, appraisers, accountants, lenders and attorneys—will share their expertise to arm participants with the information they need to succeed.
The panel of professionals will cover what to expect from making an offer to closing for all forms of businesses. Real-world case studies will highlight the “do’s” and “don’ts,” and discussions will detail each step of the process, including both buyer and seller perspectives, advisor role and responsibilities, and assembling your team of advisors.
For registration and information, visit SBRN.org or call Nancy Boyle at (904) 620-2489.
This event is sponsored by Corporate Investment International, American Enterprise Bank, Driver, McAfee, Griggs & Peek, P.L., UPS Capital Business Credit, Safeguard Business Systems, Birong Associates, LLC, Waddell & Reed, Access Capital Funding Corp., Banco Popular and Patrick & Robinson, CPAs.
