Renowned IT Expert Ivar Jacobsen Speaks at UNF

Renowned IT expert Ivar Jacobsen, chairman of Ivar Jacobsen International and founder of Jaczone AB in Sweden, will be speaking at noon on Friday, March 2, at the University Center on the campus of the University of North Florida. This event is free and open to the public. A free lunch will be provided but seating is limited.

Jacobsen is the father of components and component architecture, use cases, aspect-oriented software development, modern business engineering, the Rational Unified Process and one of the one of the “Three Amigos” who pioneered and produced the Unified Modeling Language.

Ivar Jacobsen International has consultant companies in the US, UK, Korea, China and Singapore. Ivar Jacobson Consulting provides services linked to improving a company’s development process. Setting up this global organization in 2004, Jacobsen set about fulfilling the ambition to provide process that is truly vendor independent. Through its service arm, IJC offers first-class services, including training and mentoring, which provide practical help to organizations that wish to improve the way they develop software.
