Bestselling Author and Communication Expert Speaks at UNF

Communication expert and author Dr. Rick Brinkman will speak on “Dealing with People You Can’t Stand and How to Bring Out the Best in People at Their Worst” at 7 p.m. on Monday, May 14, at the University of North Florida University Center. This event, sponsored by the Coggin College of Business, is free and open to the public. Tickets are not required.
Brinkman is best known for his Conscious Communication© expertise conveyed to millions of people via keynotes and trainings, radio, television, print interviews, numerous award-winning books, videos and audio programs. He has been touring nationally and internationally since 1980, sharing his human behavior insights and practical communication strategies in his trademark entertaining and educational style.
He is the co-author of “Dealing with People You Can’t Stand,” an international best seller translated into 17 languages. Brinkman has received numerous awards, including Funniest Speaker of the Year by the Sales Forum and the Institute for Management Studies Distinguished Faculty award.
In 1988, Brinkman was one of only 15 people selected by the Tom Peters Group to present the In Search of Excellence and Thriving on Chaos programs. He is a regularly featured speaker for Young President’s Organization as well as many associations and corporations.
