JACKSONVILLE . The University of North Florida Presidential Search Committee selected seven candidates from a list of 22 to visit the campus to meet with students, faculty and staff, and the Jacksonville community.
The one-day visits are scheduled to begin the week of April 21. The search committee will recommend a smaller number of candidates to the full Board of Trustees. Those candidates will make a second visit to the campus before the board picks the next president of the University.
Those selected to visit the University are:
-- John A. Delaney, mayor, city of Jacksonville
-- Terry L. Hickey, senior vice president and provost, University of Akron (Akron, Ohio)
-- Arthur T. Johnson, provost and vice president for Academic Affairs, University of Maryland Baltimore County (Catonsville, Md.)
-- Gary S. Krahenbuhl, senior vice president and deputy provost, Arizona State University (Tempe, Ariz.)
-- Perry D. Moore, provost and senior vice president, Wright State University (Dayton, Ohio)
-- Steven G. Poskanzer, interim president, State University of New York at New Paltz (New Paltz, N.Y.)
