Anthony Pratt is a senior studying computer science. He chose the field for its challenges and opportunities and because it is an area of study that crosses many industries. When he graduates in spring 2018, Pratt will be working for Boeing in Charleston, South Carolina. He is also a pilot and recharges by taking a small plane up over Jacksonville and enjoying the scenery. "Whenever I get a chance to fly, I am always in a state of peace," Pratt said.

What do you like most about UNF?
My favorite part about UNF would have to be the people. The school has many amazing resources, but I believe that the people here are what gives the school life. The professors and staff are full of knowledge, and everyone is always willing to help.
If you could witness one historical event, what would it be?
The first successful flight by the Wright Brothers in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. That moment in history was a catalyst for so many innovations to follow that would change the world as we see it today. Being there to experience the excitement of accomplishing something that seemed nearly impossible decades before would have been amazing.
What three traits define you?
Three traits that define me are determination, understanding and motivation.
I genuinely believe that anything in life is possible, and I have a passion for helping those around me succeed.
What is your favorite UNF tradition?
Every year I look forward to the Osprey Production concerts because they never disappoint! They do a great job of selecting artists, and it is always a pretty exciting event.
Do you have any advice for high school students?
There are so many opportunities that you have access to in college, so be willing to expose yourself to more and step out of your comfort zone in order to better yourself in the long-term. Also, do not be afraid of making mistakes because this is a season of learning and every failure or shortcoming you may experience will ultimately become a life lesson that can guide you throughout your future.
