Your math placement at UNF is based on
many factors including: your intended major, dual enrollment course work, accelerated mechanisms and, most importantly, your score on the UNF math placement test. At your scheduled new student orientation, you will meet with your academic advisor to discuss these and many more factors that will help you select a math course that best supports your academic goals.
The best opportunity for you to take a UNF proctored math placement exam is on the morning of your scheduled orientation day. For overnight orientation attendees, please arrive at the UNF Fine Arts Parking Garage by 9:45 a.m. on the first day of your scheduled orientation. From there, you will be escorted to a test site. If you are registered for the Honors or Single Day orientation sessions, show up at 7:45 a.m. If you cannot take the test on the morning of your scheduled orientation you will need to schedule a proctored exam at another date in the summer prior to the fall term start.
You can access a practice math placement test and preparation modules in your Blackboard courses in the myWings student portal. It's best to use a Chrome browser. That course is titled "Math Placement."
To see which college level math fits best into your academic plans please view the Math by Major Chart. To see how your math placement score informs your class selection, please view the Math Placement Cut Scores Table.
