The Higher Education Act (HEA) of 1965 is a federal law which authorizes student aid programs. Reauthorizations of this act prescribe disclosure requirements for institutions wishing to participate in the federal student aid program. As a prospective student, enrolled student, prospective employee, or actual employee of the University of North Florida, you have a right to consumer and safety information. The following notifications will briefly describe consumer and safety information as well as designate where to obtain further detail, e.g. the exact electronic address at which the information is posted. Athletics

Report on Athletic Program Participation Rates and Financial Support Data

The Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act (EADA) requires co-educational institutions of postsecondary education that participate in a Title IV, federal student financial assistance program, and have an intercollegiate athletic program, to prepare an annual report to the Department of Education on athletic participation, staffing, and revenues and expenses, by men's and women's teams. Information and data about revenues and expenses attributed to an institution's intercollegiate athletic activities can be found in the Annual EADA Report.

The University of North Florida does not award federal financial aid for any programs that meet the federal definition of “Gainful Employment,” i.e. programs that are non-degree seeking, yet eligible for federal aid.

A student’s enrollment in a program of study abroad that is approved for credit towards a degree by the University of North Florida may be considered as enrollment at UNF for the purpose of applying for assistance under the Federal Student Aid programs.
