Mission

The mission of the Office of Institutional Research and Assessment (OIRA) is to support planning, decision-making, and assurance of student learning at the University of North Florida. It provides information that is timely and of the highest quality, and serves as a catalyst for institutional self-analysis and improvement. In the execution of these responsibilities, the OIRA:

  • performs the University's Data Administration function, producing or coordinating all official data reports and electronic files submitted to federal, state, regional, and local agencies;
  • collects, analyzes, organizes, maintains and interprets data concerning all areas of University operations, from which it generates reports, analyses and projections for external and internal units and entities;
  • supports all units of the University in the preparation, execution, and documentation of plans to assess student learning, and in the use of the resulting data to promote continuous improvement of student learning and success.
