DO YOU HAVE A QUESTION FOR VETERANS AFFAIRS?


VA Mobile Vet Centers are community-based counseling centers that provide a broad range of services to assist in readjusting to civilian life. They provide services to veterans and servicemembers who have served in a war zone or area of hostility and their families. Vet Center services are also extended to family members who experienced an active duty death (bereavement counseling) and veterans of any era who have experienced any form of military sexual trauma or harassment.

 

Services include:

 

  • Individual counseling
  • Group counseling
  • Marital and family counseling for issues related to the readjustment of the veteran 
  • Bereavement counseling for families who experience an active duty death 
  • Medical referrals 
  • VBA benefits explanation and referral 
  • Employment counseling, guidance and referrals 
  • Alcohol/substance abuse assessments and referrals 
  • Information and referral to community resources 
  • Military sexual trauma counseling and referral 
  • Outreach and community education

Toys for Tots

Toys for Tots Donation Drive

Toys for Tots is a program run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve which distributes toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them gifts for Christmas. The Military and Veterans Resource Center will be collecting donations for this program beginning in October 2017.

Cords will be presented to you during a recognition ceremony on Friday, December 1 at 12:00 p.m. in the Talon Room (Bldg. 16, Osprey Commons, 4th Floor).
