SERIALS RESPONSIBILITIESThe Serials Department is responsible for the selection, ordering, receipt and cataloging of all journals, annuals, business services, electronic indexes and full text journals. The Library subscribes to 3,450 serial titles and provides access to over 12,000 full text journals. The Department maintains a list of journal requests, and the Serials Selection Committee meets in the fall to select new titles for the collection. The Committee follows the collecting guidelines in the Library's Collection Development Policy. Journal requests may be sent to Vicki Stanton, or may be submitted from the library's help page. The Department is responsible for all binding, book repair, and preservation of the collections. We also process new materials for the shelves once they are cataloged. We accept theses and dissertations from UNF departments, and bind library copies and personal copies of works written for a UNF degree program. LINKSAleph Documentation - Password required |
