Covered Drinks Welcome in the Library!

In an effort to create a more inviting atmosphere for study and research, the UNF Library has revised its food and drink policy to allow drinks in covered containers. Representatives of Student Government met with Library officials this summer to propose the policy change.

Library users are now welcome to bring coffee, tea, soda, water or other non-alcoholic beverages into the building to enjoy while studying. All drinks must be in containers with covers attached. This should prevent large spills which can ruin expensive publications, computers, or other library resources.

Except for library-sponsored functions food is not allowed!

Drinks are not welcome in computer areas and Special Collections.

Please keep in mind that spilled drinks and food can damage library collections and equipment and contribute to insect and rodent infestation.

You are asked to handle drinks with care around library materials and to properly dispose of trash. We need everyone's help to maintain a clean and attractive library environment for study and research.
