BRIEF RECORDS OPTION

• Brief Recs is most useful for author or title headings that retrieve large results sets, such as:
  • Authors who have written a large number of works (e.g. shakespeare william)
  • Titles that have many editions (e.g. hamlet)
  • Series that include many volumes (e.g. methods in enzymology).
• Brief Recs is also useful when you want a shorter work that may be included in a collection, such as a musical piece on a recording of several works. The Brief Recs lists the title of the shorter work rather than the title of the collection.
