Research Databases - Find articles in journals, magazines, etc.

The following are just a few of the indexes that will cover articles dealing with information studies. Depending on the focus of your project, other indexes and databases may also provide valuable sources. For example, if you were trying to examine algorithm design for Web search services, you would likely want to search a computer or technology related database, but if you wanted to investigate technology in its social context you might want to use a sociology research database. In short, go into the project with the idea that no one source will give you all the answers and then review the Library's database list for good candidates. Please note: To use the online databases listed below from off campus, you must first log in using your library number (listed at the bottom right corner of your Osprey card).
