Introducing the Newest in Library Technology!
CENTRAL SEARCH, ARTICLE LINKER,
E-JOURNAL PORTAL, AND CITATION LINKER
This new technology makes most of the the library's $3.5+ million
electronic collection
searchable through a single interface!
- You can select the databases you wish to search or all the databases in a subject category.
- You can use the basic Google-type keyword search or select to use the advanced search screen with more search options.
- You can link to a particular database to use its search capabilities (best for serious research).
- Results lists let you view abstracts, sample the number of hits in several databases, or link directly to the full text.
With Article Linker
- You can use the Article Linker menu to see which databases have the full text of an article.
- If full text is not available, you can automatically search the library catalog to see if the journal is available in the library in print.
- If it is not available either way, you can send off an Interlibrary Loan request with the click of a mouse.
- You can see if the journal is scholarly or refereed.
- Find out which database has the full text of a particular journal.
- Find lists of journals by subject area.
- When you already have a citation, you can use Citation Linker to see if the full text is available electronically.
