OSPREYCARD INFORMATIONThe photo-identification OspreyCard is UNF's official ID card. All UNF currently enrolled students and all eligible UNF employees are required to present it in order to use UNF services. There is no difference between a library number issued to a UNF Distance Learning student or UNF student on campus. Your number is permanent (unless new ID cards are issued) and will follow you through your entire UNF affiliation. Your privileges will automatically be updated for that card number each academic term you are enrolled/employed. OspreyCards without a photo must be used with other photo-identification. Your library number is at the bottom right of your OspreyCard and always begins with 20300. This number must be used to access restricted library research databases and services available through the UNF Library's web pages. This number will not be active until your registration has been transferred from UNF's registration system to the Library's automated system, or until the number is registered at the Library. LIBRARY ELECTRONIC DATABASES & SERVICESYou will want to access the UNF Library's electronic resources through the Internet. Our list of electronic databases and services indicates which are accessible remotely. If you are near another State University System of Florida library, you may use electronic resources in that library's building. Since the offerings of the various libraries may differ, it is important that you access UNF resources through the UNF Library web pages, regardless of your location. |
LIBRARY BORROWING PRIVILEGESYour OspreyCard may be used to borrow materials from the UNF Library. To receive borrowing privileges at other state university libraries in Florida and participating Florida community college libraries, you should contact the Access Services Department of the library to find out what is required to register for borrowing services. A UNF ID, driver’s license, proof of current enrollment, and Social Security number may be required to receive borrowing privileges at other institutions.
