Virtual Private Network (VPN)

What is a VPN?

A VPN is a method of connecting to a private network (UNF’s network) by way of a public network (the Internet) securely.  A VPN connection is NOT NEEDED to read email.

IMPORTANT: There are two "profiles" that you can choose from when establishing a VPN connection - they are Employee and Travel.

Profile 1 - Employee:  Only traffic destined for UNF goes to UNF. All other traffic (e.g. gmail, banking, NYTimes, etc.) bypasses UNF and travels through another connection you may be using.
Profile 2 - Travel: All Internet traffic goes through UNF just like you were sitting on campus. This option becomes available on July 1.
