Course Level Maintenance   

There is a level associated with courses.  Some courses may have more than one level associated with them.  When an undergraduate student takes the course, then the course is given the undergraduate course level by default.  When a graduate student takes the course, then the course is given the graduate course level by default.  There are graduate students, who took a course that received the undergraduate level but would now like the course to count as a graduate level course.  This application allows the user to change the level of the course in academic history for the selected student.  The term, CRN, level, course ID, course title, credit hours, and grade are displayed.  The level is a drop down box allowing the user to change it.  Only graduate students can have the level changed for a course.  Effective Summer 2010 multiple course levels will no longer be available.

Excess Hours

This application displays information about the selected student’s status with respect to excess hour surcharging. The page shows the student’s cohort, student type, exemption codes, and a breakdown of the various categories of allowable, used, and remaining hours. All of the student’s courses are displayed and any exempted courses are noted. The cohort determines which excess hours rules are applicable for the student. It is based upon when the student first attended a college or university level institution as a degree seeking student. The University Registrar also has the ability to update course exemptions and to enter hour adjustments.

Hours and GPA  

This application provides a view of the student’s current UNF hours, current transfer hours, current combined hours, and cumulative hours including GPAs for all.  It is important to note that the “current” refers to course work that will apply to the “current” degree that the student is seeking.  If the student has received a degree and is pursuing a second degree, the “current” will only include coursework since the first degree was awarded.  Each group of hours includes the type (lower, upper, graduate), level (UG, GR), attempted hours, earned hours, hours for average, quality points, and GPA.  The cumulative hours summarized UNF, transfer, and overall.

History Attribute Maintenance   

There are times when courses are rolled to academic history that do not have the correct course attributes.  This application allows the user to add or delete course attributes from academic history for the selected CRN.  The user selects one or more of the following: term, CRN, course subject, and course number to retrieve a list of courses that meet the criteria.  The term, CRN, course ID, title, and course attributes are displayed.  The CRN is a hyperlink to an application that allows the user to add or delete course attributes.

Independent Study Titles Input: Departmental View   

Students in independent study courses must have specific titles assigned to their courses.  This application allows staff to input titles for students currently enrolled in independent study courses within the staff member’s assigned department (see Independent Study Titles Input: User Maintenance).  After titles have been input by department representatives, Enrollment Services will further process them on the Independent Study Titles Input: Registrar View application.

Independent Study Titles Input: Registrar View   

Students in independent study courses must have specific titles assigned to their courses.  Titles for these courses are first input by departmental representatives in the Independent Study Titles Input: Departmental View application.  This application will then be used by Enrollment Services to review course titles for the current term.  Courses submitted by the department can be edited, if necessary, and then loaded into academic history after grades have rolled.  Additionally, course titles that have not been submitted by the department may also be input in this application using the status search.

Independent Study Titles Input: User Maintenance   

This application is used to manage users for the Independent Study Titles Input: Departmental View application.  Enrollment Services staff will designate staff for each department and assign security through this application.

Mid-Term Grades   

Faculty are required to input mid-term grades for freshmen students.  This application allows the user to view the mid-term grades for the selected student and term, where applicable.  The CRN, course ID, registration status, course hours, mid-term grade, meeting times, days, dates, location, and instructor are displayed.  If the student is not a freshman for the selected term, a message is displayed.

Repeated Courses   

This application provides a list of repeated courses for the selected student including both transfer and native coursework.  The term, CRN/Transfer Institution, course subject and number, course title, credit hours, grade, catalog definition, repeat indicator, and instructor for any repeated courses are displayed.  If a course is in progress then the grade displayed will be IP.  The courses are sorted by course subject and number and term.

Student Transcript   

The user can view an unofficial copy of the selected student’s transcript.  The student’s name, birth date, student type, degree, college, major and department are displayed.  There are four sections: Transfer Credit, Institution Credit, Transcript Totals, and Courses In Progress.  Each section displays the subject, course number, campus (except transfer credit section), course title, grade, credit hours, quality points, and repeat indicator.  Institution Credit also includes CEU contract hours.  After each term, the term totals are displayed.  This includes attempted hours, passed hours, earned hours, GPA hours, quality points, and GPA.

Transfer Evaluation    

The Transfer Evaluation application is used to view transfer coursework that has been evaluated and rolled to academic history for a student.  The evaluation is broken down by transfer institution, term and course.  The transfer information for each course is displayed along with its UNF equivalent.  This information includes level, course subject and number, title, hours and grade.  Attributes, repeat indicators and last updated date associated with each equivalent course are also provided. Users with the appropriate access may update select equivalent information for a course. Beneath the transfer coursework table, grids will be displayed for the student's degrees, individual transfer institution hours and GPA calculations, and cumulative hours and GPA calculations.

Transfer Transcript Details   

The user may view information regarding transcripts from each institution.  The institution code (CEEB), institution name, transcript mode, degree comments, degree code, and degree date are displayed.  The transcript mode indicates if the transcript was received electronically or on paper (hardcopy).  If the transcript was received on paper, then a copy should be in imaging.

UNF Coursework   

This application provides a list of courses taken at UNF, including in-progress courses, for the selected student.  The term, course ID, CRN, course title, grade, attempted hours, earned hours, hours for average, quality points, course level, repeat indicator, course attributes and instructor are displayed.  The CRN, except for in-progress courses, is a hyperlink to the student roster for the selected course.

Excess Hours Status

The student can view information about their status with respect to excess hour surcharging. The page shows the program hours, the number of additional hours allowed for multiple degrees and majors, how many hours the student has already taken, currently registered hours, and the number of hours remaining before the student is affect by the surcharge. All of the student’s courses are displayed with exempted courses are noted.

Transfer Evaluation

The student can view their transfer coursework and the UNF equivalent course.  The transfer institution, term, transfer course ID, transfer title, hours, and grade are displayed.  In addition, the UNF equivalent course ID, credit awarded, repeat indicator, UNF grade, course attributes, and update date are displayed. The total number of hours transferred and accepted are displayed at the bottom of the screen.  In addition, any degrees awarded are listed including the institution name, degree, and date.
