Forwarding Email

Turn on Forwarding in Ospreys E-mail

To set up forwarding in your student Ospreys E-mail account, follow these steps. 

  1. Log into myWings and click the Ospreys E-mail icon  
  2. Once in your Ospreys E-mail, click Options > See all Options... at the top right of the screen
  3. Click Forward your e-mail on the right-hand menu
  4. Enter your forwarding address, select whether you would like to keep a copy of forwarded messages in Outlook Web App, and then click Start Forwarding
  5.  It is a good idea to send yourself an email and check the email account of the address you set for forwarding to make sure the email was delivered.

Turn off Forwarding in Ospreys E-mail

 If you decide to take advantage of the additional features Ospreys E-mail provides (more storage space, Skydrive for file storage, and use of Microsoft Office Web Apps such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), you can follow these instructions for  turning off forwarding from Ospreys E-mail account

  1. Log into myWings and click the Ospreys E-mail icon  
  2. Once in your Ospreys E-mail, click Options > See all Options... at the top right of the screen
  3. Click Forward your e-mail on the right-hand menu
  4.  Click the Red X in the bottom right hand side that says "Stop Forwarding".  

Turn on Forwarding in UNF Employee E-mail (Outlook, Exchange)

 To start/stop/update @unf.edu email forwarding, perform the following steps: 

  1. First you will need to log into myWings (mywings.unf.edu). 
  2. On the HOME tab, look under QuickLinks on the right and select “ITS Self Service.” 
  3. In the new window that opens, select “Update Delivery Address” from the menu on the left. 
  4. Follow the instructions on the Update Delivery Address page. NOTE: If you are a student who is also an employee and you want your email to forward to your Ospreys E-mail account, type your N Number, followed by @ospreys.unf.edu in the "Deliver to" box (Example: n00001234@ospreys.unf.edu)  
  5. When you are done, click "Apply". It is a good idea to send yourself an email and check the email account of the address you set for forwarding to make sure the email was delivered.
