Forwarding Email

Turn on Forwarding in Ospreys E-mail

To set up forwarding in your student Ospreys E-mail account, follow these steps:

  1. Log into myWings and click the Ospreys E-mail icon in the upper right hand corner. 
  2. Once in your Ospreys E-mail, click the "gear" icon at the top right of the screen. 
  3. Select "Options" from the drop down menu that appears. 
  4. Look to the left side, for "Forwarding". Click it to open it. 
  5. Enter your forwarding address, select whether you would like to keep a copy of forwarded messages (recommended). Then click "Save". 
  6. It is a good idea to send yourself an email and check the email account of the address you set for forwarding to make sure the email was delivered.

Turn off Forwarding in Ospreys E-mail

If you decide to take advantage of the additional features Ospreys E-mail provides (more storage space, Onedrive for file storage, and use of Microsoft Office Web Apps such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), you can follow these instructions for  turning off forwarding from Ospreys E-mail account:

  1. Log into myWings and click the Ospreys E-mail icon in the upper right hand corner. 
  2. Once in your Ospreys E-mail, click the "gear" icon at the top right of the screen. NOTE: In some web browsers (Internet Explorer) the icon labels do not display, but you will see boxes (or separations) as you hover over the area. If this happens, click on the third icon square from the right). You'll know you have the right one if the menu choices start with "Office  365 Settings".
  3. Select "Options" from the drop down menu that appears. 
  4. Click "Forwarding" on the right-hand menu. 
  5. Click "Stop Forwarding" and then "Save". 

Turn on Forwarding in UNF Employee E-mail (Outlook, Exchange)

 To start/stop/update @unf.edu email forwarding, perform the following steps: 

  1. First you will need to log into myWings (mywings.unf.edu). 
  2. On the HOME tab, look under QuickLinks on the right and select “ITS Self Service.” 
  3. In the new window that opens, select “Update Delivery Address” from the menu on the left. 
  4. Follow the instructions on the Update Delivery Address page. NOTE: If you are a student who is also an employee and you want your email to forward to your Ospreys E-mail account, type your N Number, followed by @ospreys.unf.edu in the "Deliver to" box (Example: n00001234@ospreys.unf.edu).  
  5. When you are done, click "Apply". It is a good idea to send yourself an email and check the email account of the address you set for forwarding to make sure the email was delivered.
