The University of North Florida is the nation's No. 5 best value public college, according to the Princeton Review. President John A. Delaney was interviewed by WAWS-Fox 30/CBS 47 about this honor, which received national media coverage.

Dr. Chris Gabbard, assistant professor of English, appeared on WJXT Ch. 4 to discuss the one-year anniversary of the death of Terry Schiavo and analyzed how much progress America has made in the area of right-to-die cases and living wills.

Casey Della Crosse, a senior Building Construction major, and Nadine Robertson, a freshman criminal justice major, appeared on WJXT Ch. 4's "Ask the UNF Expert" to discuss the reconstruction efforts 18 UNF students participated in during Spring Break in New Orleans.

Freshman J.T. Townsend was featured on USA Networks' "PGA Tour Sunday" as the result of his friendship with PGA Tour golfer Fred Funk. Funk has met many new faces. But none has affected him quite like J.T., a 19-year-old Episcopal High graduate who suffered a severe spinal cord injury in 2004 while making a tackle in a football game. Townsend's spirit impressed Funk so much that he decided to do something to help J.T. and his family.
