The Brooks College of Health is undergoing a $10.15 million expansion that is expected to be approximately 33,000 gross square feet on four floors and will house classrooms and administrative office space for UNF’s School of Nursing. The Wachovia Foundation generously donated $300,000 to the College of Education, establishing The Wachovia Foundation Endowed Scholarship Fund, which will provide scholarships for students majoring in teacher education. Larry Daniel, dean of the College of Education, spoke to WJCT 89.9 FM radio about how this scholarship program will help students interested in education but who can't afford it without financial assistance.
