Employ Florida Banner Center for Creative Industries at UNF Partners with Miami International University of Art and Design

The Employ Florida Banner Center for Creative Industries at the University of North Florida launched its first statewide partnership with the Miami International University of Art & Design. This new collaboration will provide training for students interested in careers in the creative industries.   

“Through this partnership, more people throughout the state will have access to industry-specific training,” said Philip Green, director of the Employ Florida Banner Center for Creative Industries at UNF. “We are excited about this partnership because the Miami International University of Art & Design and The Art Institutes bring a great deal of high-quality industry experience, professional educators and access to new markets.” 

The Employ Florida Banner Center for Creative Industries at UNF provides industry-specific training in film, television and new media to educational institutions, businesses, workforce development partners and individuals. This statewide initiative develops relevant curricula in training entry-level workers or those who want to enhance their skills. The Miami International University of Art & Design offers degree programs in fashion design, fashion merchandising, accessory design, visual arts, photography, interior design, graphic design, visual effects and motion graphics, computer animation, audio production as well as film and digital production. The university also offers a Master of Arts degree in design and media management and a Master of Fine Arts degree in interior design, computer animation, film, graphic design and visual arts.
