The new upcoming academic year means change in leadership to
the Board of Directors for the University
of North Florida’s Alumni
Association. Erica Stafstrom has moved to the president’s position this year,
while Rob Raesemann, the former secretary/treasurer, has moved to the
vice-president position. New to the executive team is Bob Chassman, who will
serve as secretary/treasurer.
During Stafstrom’s eight-year tenure with the board, she has
served as chairperson of several Association committees and was awarded the
“Impact Award” in 2009 for her outstanding leadership. She is employed with
BlueCross BlueShield of Florida
as a senior manager of Financial Systems, supporting the enterprise financial
accounting system.
Stafstrom graduated from UNF with a BBA in accounting in
1994 and also earned an MBA in 1996. After college, she worked at
PriceWaterhouseCoopers as an auditor for four years. She is a member of the
Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of
Certified Public Accountants.
Raesemann received his degree from UNF in 1992 and has
served on the alumni board since 2004. He is the owner of Raesemann
Enterprises, Inc., a company specializing in industrial information technology
and services. He has worked on overseeing the installation of monitoring
systems for the Jacksonville Energy Authority and automation projects at Kennedy Space Center.
Chassman, who graduated with his MBA from UNF in 1997, is a strategist in the Commercial Banking Group of Wells Fargo
Bank. Prior to joining Wells Fargo, he was an investment banker at Allen C.
Ewing & Co., a boutique firm in Jacksonville
specializing in mergers and acquisitions. Previously, he was a senior financial
analyst with Bombardier Capital, the financing arm of the global aircraft
manufacturer, and a financial analyst with Florida Rock Industries, which is
now owned by Vulcan Materials.
The UNF Alumni Association is a
non-profit organization. Its purpose is to foster, maintain and support a
life-long relationship between alumni and the University. The Board of
Directors, comprised of UNF alumni, governs the Association by setting policy,
providing guidance for the Association's programs and activities, and
represents the interests of more than 58,000 alumni to the University.
