The College of Education and Human Services (COEHS) at the University of North Florida is seeking students to apply for fall 2006 scholarships and fellowships.

Scholarships are available for undergraduates and graduate students. Various generous community donors provide funds for the scholarships and fellowships, which range from $500 to $3,500. Applicants are required to meet the criteria established by the donor.

Last year, the COEHS awarded a total of $57,500 in private scholarships. Although there are currently 1,500 students enrolled in the COEHS, the applicant pool isn’t nearly as large as it should be, according to Marsha Lupi, COEHS associate dean. “We are trying to find the best way to let our students know that there is scholarship money available to them,” she said. “This money is earmarked for students and we want to encourage qualified applicants to apply.”
