JACKSONVILLE -- A top U.S. scholar on Cuban foreign policy will speak on “Castro, Cuba and the World” on Thursday, Nov. 18, at from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m.
Dr. H. Michael Erisman, a political science professor at Indiana State University, will speak in the Robinson Little Theatre, Building 14, Room 1700, on the University of North Florida campus. The lecture, sponsored by the Department of History, is free and open to the public. Parking passes can be acquired at each entrance to the University.
Erisman’s research focuses on Cuba's foreign relations and its efforts to diversify its economic relations in the Western Hemisphere and elsewhere. He is the author or editor of several books, including “Cuba’s Foreign Relations in a Post-Soviet World.” He also is the co-chair of the Cuba section for the Latin American Studies Association.
