The University of North Florida Admissions Office is offering more scholarships to top students who choose to apply by Nov. 14, 2003, for the 2004-05 academic year.
UNF provided 116 Early Action Scholarships worth $155,000 to students in the 2003-04 academic year. The University expects to award at least $200,000 in Early Action Scholarships next year.
Applicants meeting the criteria for Early Action Scholarships will automatically receive the scholarship to UNF.
The scholarships are each worth $8,000 over the course of four years. The award can be used in addition to the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship.
Students must be attending college for the first time, have a 4.0 GPA and have at least a 1260 on the SAT or a 28 on the ACT. Florida residency is not required.
Once at UNF, students must maintain at 3.0 cumulative GPA and earn at least 24 credit hours by the end of each spring semester to continue to receive the scholarship.
