JACKSONVILLE --An Ohio University advancement professional has been hired as the new development officer for the College of Arts&Sciences at the University of North Florida
Julie Sullivan, who had been the associate director of development for annual giving at the Athens, Ohio university, assumed the UNF post in July.
Dr. Mark Workman, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, said he feels very fortunate that the college was able to hire someone with Julie’s considerable experience and talent in development work. “I am optimistic that, with her capable assistance, we will be able to realize the fundraising goals that are so crucial to the mission of the college,” he said.
Sullivan received her bachelor’s degree in retail marketing and master’s degree in business administration from Youngstown State University.
At Ohio University, Sullivan was responsible for assisting in the planning and execution of the annual fund drive for the university and worked with three regional campuses to develop individual annual giving programs. She held the position for about a year.
Prior to OU, Sullivan was the director of annual giving and senior women’s administrator at the United States Military Academy at West Point for about a year and a half.
The University of North Florida is a four-year state university with about 13,000 students.
