This statue of Gandhi serves as a reminder for peace for all who view it. In his life, Gandhi inspired movements for civil rights and freedom. Throughout his life, Gandhi remained committed to non-violence and truth. Friends of UNF were responsible for raising the funds to install a statue of Gandhi on the UNF campus.

Friends
Why Should Friends of UNF support the Annual Giving Program?
Friends of UNF are individuals who feel a commitment to supporting the University as a way of strengthening the community and insuring future generations of its leaders. Friends play an important role to the success of UNF's Annual Giving Program
There are a number of ways in which friends can get involved in supporting UNF. For example, if you are a member of the military or federal civilian employee you can participate through the Combined Federal Program.
In addition there is the First Generation Matching Grant Program in which students with financial need who are the first in their families to attend college can get help to meet tuition and fees.
Friends are important to UNF!
