Asst Maintenance Supt

Nature of Work:

This is work assisting with the management of maintenance programs for the university.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Determines training program needs.
  • Plans and carries out scheduling of maintenance projects.
  • Assists in budget planning and recommends operating policies and procedures.
  • Develops and implements a preventative maintenance program.
  • Supervises renovation and construction projects and prepares cost estimates. 

Basic Qualifications:

Completion of an approved apprenticeship program or multiple trades and two year of experience directly

related to the job functions; or a high school diploma and five years of experience directly related to the job

functions. Directly related college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an

equivalent rate for the required experience.
