Nature of Work:This is work of a skilled gardener assisting the Horticulturist with professional gardening tasks.
Typical Responsibilities:
  • Participates and may lead a crew in grounds tasks such as watering, fertilizing, pruning, and troubleshooting.
  • Responsible for the greenhouse and nursery.
  • Propagate plants by seed, division, and cuttings.
  • Performs landscape installation, reading basic plans, laying out the plants.

Basic Qualifications:Completion of the ninth grade and two years of experience directly related to the job functions. Directly related college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
