Nature of Work:

Maintains grounds on UNF campus.


Typical Responsibilities:
  • Rakes, grades, excavates and prepares grounds.
  • Cuts and maintains lawns and/or grass.
  • Removes soil, rubbish and leaves from grounds.
  • Waters, prunes and move plants, trees and scrubs.
  • Applies unrestricted-use pesticides and herbicides.
  • Operates equipment such as trimmers, hedgers, mowers and sweepers.
  • Insures equipment is kept in operating order and reports maintenance needs to supervisor.

Basic Qualifications:

Completion of ninth (9th) grade required; HS Diploma preferred. Some positions may require possession of a classified driver's license appropriate to the type of vehicle operated.
