Purchasing Associate

Nature of Work:

This position performs clerical purchasing activities.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Enters Purchase Requisitions into the system.
  • Files and maintain purchasing documents.
  • Organizes specifications and related documents to generate ITN/formal bids.
  • Records minutes of pre-bid and bid opening meetings.
  • Prepares bids for distribution.
  • Assists vendors on procedures and requirements for submission of bids and proposals.

Basic Qualifications:

High school diploma and two years of experience directly related to the job functions. Directly related college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
