Nature of Work:

This is work performing complex administrative duties. Typically reports to Vice President, Dean or above.


Typical Responsibilities:

  • Composes correspondence and other documents on a wide variety of subjects.
  • Recommends and implements policy for program operations and advises management on the interpretations, applications and implementation of new or revised rules, policies and procedures.
  • Performs administrative projects for management.
  • Compiles annual budget requests; maintains financial records and provide periodic reports and statistical data.
  • Researches and compiles background data; maintains records and files regarding department administrative activities.
  • May manage human resources/payroll processes for the department or division.
  • May coordinate or process one or more intermittent university-wide activities.


Basic Qualifications:

High school diploma and seven years of experience directly related to the job functions. Directly related college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
