    On-Campus


  • UNF Relay for Life

    Volunteers will be needed April 25th and 26th to help with registration tables, set up and break down, keeping the teams motivated.

  • SWOOP SQUAD VOLUNTEERS

    We are looking for enthusiastic, hard-working, spirited Ospreys to volunteer with the Swoop Squad. Volunteers will be working directly with the Swoop Squad and the UNF Office of Orientation and Campus Events. Volunteers will enjoy many of the perks offered to active Swoop Squad members. Volunteers will also be given first shot at any open paid positions within the SWOOP Squad. Infact, in order to gain entrance to the Squad a student must log at least 25 hours of volunteer work to be considered.
    The current available times to volunteer with the squad are:
    Mon-Fri: 8:30am - 10:30am; 12:30pm - 2:30pm; 4:00pm - 6:00pm
    Various events within the Office of Orientation and Campus Events

  • Language Partner Program
  • Tutor an international student to help them adjust to a new culture and language. The ELP (English Language Program) is looking for volunteers to be tutors on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3pm to 4:15pm. A volunteer certificate will be give to volunteers.   • UNF Nature Trails
  • Volunteers will be teaching school Children Environmental Education Programs, maintaining the Nature Trails, working with Eco-Adventure Program or their own project.

  • Volunteer Center Committee
  • Join a Volunteer Center Committee.
    There is an art committee, which includes painting the window, making flyers, banners and signs for events. There is also a Project committee which includes helping with forming and running volunteer events/projects, using creative ideas to promote serving our community.

  • Jacksonville International Airport

    Be a part of the JIA Volunteer Ambassador Program.
    Ambassadors provide invaluable customer service and get the opportunity to intract with people from all overe the world.

  • Jacksonville Public Library
  • The Center for Adult Learning needs someone with clear English speaking skills to answer the phone, assist customers as they come in, and perform light office duties. Basic computer knowledge of Word, internet, and email is preferred.
    They could use two people, one for Monday through Friday 12:30 pm until 4:30 pm and another for Monday through Thursday 4:30pm until 8:00 pm.

  • Justina Team Up

    Volunteers needed to be a part of their after school program located at Justina Elementary. They are currently looking for energetic and responsible students to work during after school hours.
    There is also a paid position available for a counselor willing to work 15-20 hours a week at approximately $10 per hour.

  • Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN)

    PanCAN has grown into the only national leader to fight pancreatic cancer in a comprehensive way. We accomplish our mission to advance research, support patients and create hope by providing direct funding for research, and demanding more aggressive federal research funding; by providing patients and caregivers with reliable information to make informed decisions with their healthcare teams; and by helping individuals and communities work together to raise awareness and funds to find a cure for pancreatic cancer.

  • Organize a food drive

    The salvation Army operates year-round food pantries. Help them replenish their shelves by forming a food drive or getting involved with one. Protein-rich foods are especially needed, such as canned meats and fish, beef stew, peanut butter, and powdered milk. To schedule a pick-up of collected food items, contact John McNair at 904-301-4785.

  • Girl Scout Mission

    Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place.
    Volunteer Opportunities: Help a troop, lead a badge workshop, teach sailing or canoeing, be a mentor, plan an event. Girl Scout volunteer opportunities fit your schedule, relate to your major, and will make a difference in the life of a girl!   • Dignity u wear

    Volunteers needed for: clothing preparations, warehouse operations, and office assistance. Contact Peggy McDonald at pmcdonald@dignityuwear.com

  • First Coast No More Homeless Pets

    This center provides free/low cost spay and neuter surgeries. They have many different volunteer opportunities including fundraising events, office help with the hotline, help with the spay/neuter clinic and they also have a grassroots education program to promote the program to potential clients.

  • Habitat for Humanity

  • Lutheran Social Services

    Volunteers are needed in the Food Pantry to:

      • Empty the currently full rolling shelves by stocking the sharing floor or creating boxes of other abundant items
      • Sort existing food drive items onto shelves or into boxes
      • Bread and Pastry re-stocking
      • Wash all the carts, shopping baskets, and Postal carts
      • Wipe off the entire sharing floor shelves
      • Sweep and mop
      • Pick up trash around the exterior property
      • Organize reclaimed items after food drive product is sorted

    Open to groups and individuals. Join the volunteer base of Talbot Islands State Parks volunteer program. These parks include:
