ORP/FRS Conversion Option:

       Due to recent changes in Florida law, an actively employed participant of the State University System Optional Retirement Program (SUSORP) has a one-time only window period to join the Florida Retirement System (FRS). The member can join either the FRS Pension Plan or the FRS Investment Plan. This option to make a retirement plan change may only be exercised from January 1, 2008 through December 31, 2008.

       Current SUSORP participants should have received a letter at their home in December, 2007 with information regarding this option. Please click here for a copy of the letter.

Request an Estimate
If you are thinking about switching to the FRS Pension Plan, you will need to request an estimate from the Division of Retirement prior to making your election.  Their number is 1-866-446-9377, option #3. The estimates take approximately 3-4 weeks and will be mailed to your home address on file.
