The Support Services Committee held 10 meetings during the academic year 2005-2006.
As per committee charge, meetings were held with heads of various support units on campus - both academic and physical. Ideas were exchanged from faculty point of view with these units.
The Banner problems were discussed in detail with the VP for Finance and Administration and the VP for Academic Affairs. This resulted in resolving several salary related problems in Banner.
Concerns about parking and food services were discussed with the Director of Auxiliary Services who facilitated creation of a special line for faculty and students during lunch hour at the cafeteria and installation of a speed bump in the garage near the Fine Arts Building.
After meeting with the Director of the Library, the committee brought forth a resolution for special funding for the acquisition of databases, which was adopted by the Faculty Association.
The committee kept the faculty informed at the Association monthly meetings of relevant discussions.
