Deliberations |
Learning Outcomes: The APC identified resources to assist faculty in the writing of learning outcomes. Links to these resources were added to the supplemental instructions for completing APC forms. |
Workflow Software for APC: Following up on the workflow software process considered during the 2004 – 05 academic year, Dr. Arturo Sanchez presented a skeleton prototype for the online document workflow system. This system allows faculty to input their program or course information online and track the document throughout the approval process on the Web.
Dr. Sanchez continued to gather feedback needed to maximize the functionality of the system by conducting a meeting of the APC to this end. A budget of $10,000 was requested and approved for beginning work on the system. The project is on hold pending approval by ITS and other appropriate groups. |
APC forms/Lab Fees: Changes to the lab fee blocks and Supplemental Instructions on the APC 1 and APC 2 were approved . In the APC 1, Section B.5, a pull down menu will allow for the options of yes or no when asked if a lab fee is associated with the course. On the APC 2, Section C.5, the pull down menu will allow for the options of add or remove. The amount block will be removed from both forms. A link to the form is provided in the instructions, not on the APC 1 or APC 2 form. A reminder to complete the lab fee form can be issued to the faculty who submit the form. |
Form Submission: Blackboard was considered as an option for automating the form submission process. Given the funding approval of the automated system presented by Dr. Sanchez, it was decided to use the current system until a time when the new system is implemented. |
