Cynthia Jordan explained procedures for the upcoming special election for the Promotion and Tenure Committee. Barbara Olinzock, chair, and Cynthia Jordan, in-coming chair, will not be at the Faculty Association meeting, October 6, for the special election. Lee Richardson, Claudia Scaff, and Jan Meires will be present to conduct the election.

Voting will take place after the Faculty Association meeting and continue until 4:00 p.m. in the Faculty Association office. Cindy Chin, Faculty Association executive secretary, will manage voting activity after the meeting.

Absentee voting will take place the week of the election, beginning October 3. Barbara Olinzock will provide UNF faculty with absentee voting procedures.

Cynthia Jordan gave a summary of upcoming elections for the next year. Committee members are currently accepting nominations for the Nominations and Elections Committee. This election will be held in December. Jan Meires suggested creating a calendar on the Web with Committee activities for each month.

Committee members expressed concern over low participation of some absent members.

The next meeting will be Monday, October 10, 12:00-1:00 p.m. in 11/1327 to count ballots.
