Call To Order:

The meeting was called to order at 1:15 pm by Barbara Olinzock, Chairperson

Old Business:

A. Finalization of Nov. 3/4 th election:

Votes were tabulated for the Sabbatical Leave Committee. Official results of election for Sabbatical Leave and Nominations & Elections to be forwarded to Judy Solano. The results are as follows:

Sabbatical Leave Committee:

COAS (two): Mary Borg and Jyotsna Pradhan
CCB (two): Reza Vaghefi and Jeff Michelman
CECC (one): Yap Chua
COEHS (two): Bruce Gutknecht and Warren Hodges
COH (two): Joan Farrell and Jeanne Patterson

Nominations & Elections Committee:

B. Preparation for Provost and Vice-President Search Committee:

The committee discussed plans for upcoming special election for the Provost and Vice-President Search Committee. Nine at-large positions will be elected from faculty as a whole. Nominations have been active and will continue through Nov. 18th with an election immediately following the next FA meeting December 1st and Friday, Dec. 2nd.

New Business :

Discussion focused on tentative plans for transitioning the chair position of the N & E from Barbara Olinzock to Cynthia Jordan in January. Plans for orienting new members was also addressed. A tentative upcoming calendar of elections and deadlines was also discussed.
