Subject: Election for P & T; Election for N & E

Just wanted to give you a summary of what is happening with our committee (because I will be out of town presenting at a conference and Cynthia will also be gone)

Ballot and faculty sign-in book will be ready by Friday, September 29 th and submitted to Cindy for absentee balloting. I think we agreed faculty could vote starting Monday, October 3 rd (***Cindy, how do we disseminate this information?)

Lee Richardson will be presenting the ballot at the FA meeting, Thursday, October 6 th for P & T and will take nominations for write in from the floor. Voting to be held by ballot immediately at end of meeting (Lee and Claudia will man ballot box with faculty sign-in book). Lee will also be asking for further nominations for N & E  in preparation for November FA Meeting (We still need At-large nominee).

Do you want an overhead for the October 6 th meeting or will the distribution of ballots be sufficient??

At the end of meeting, Lee and Claudia will help Cindy take ballot box to FA office where faculty can vote through Thursday afternoon at 5 pm.

The counting of vote will be done by N & E Committee on Monday, October 10 th in the Faculty Association Meeting Room at noon. Cynthia Jordan is the designee that will over-see that count.

Since I have clinical on Monday, October 10 th, I will be unable to verify vote until Tuesday, Oct 11 th and will notify Judy Solano and Cindy Chin of final results (Unless it would be ok for Cynthia to report results to you after the meeting on Monday, Oct. 10 th. That would be fine with me.
