MINUTES OF MEETING
ADJUNCT AFFAIRS COMMITTEE

Approval of Minutes: |
The Minutes from the previous meeting were approved by those present.

I. |
Old Business: |
| |
Lee Richardson presented the results of an informal survey of adjuncts at UNF conducted in Jan/Feb, 2006 (see attachment). The results of this recent survey generally support the results of the more comprehensive survey conducted by this Committee in 2003, indicating that the teaching of adjuncts has not been evaluated by a representative of the respective Departments in a majority of cases. Nancy Levine agreed to present this information at the Dean’s meeting on February 24th.

The Committee also discussed the Adjunct Resources Web Page that is linked to the OFE/CIRT site. It has been recommended in the past that Departmental Adjunct Workbooks be linked to this site. Currently, not all Departments have made these resources available on-line. Nancy Levine also agreed to promote this idea at the Dean’s Meeting on February 24th.

The Adjunct Affairs Committee membership is asked to also log on to the OFE/CIRT site and check if their respective Colleges are participating, and follow up with their respective Dean’s to promote full participation, if not.

New Business: |

Lee Richardson distributed an email from Mark Workman regarding an opportunity to participate in a workshop pertaining to adjuncts at the upcoming Teaching and Learning conference (see attachment). Anyone interested and available to attend is encouraged to do so. |
