Objectives

The Committee's primary objectives for this meeting were to: Distribute Summer Scholarship applications to reviewers Set next meeting date with main objective of ranking the applications.

Actions Taken:

Distribution of applications and evaluation forms

Each Committee member selected proposals to assign to the reviewers whom they recruited from their respective departments. There were forty-one proposals submitted and each one was assigned to three reviewers. Sarah Philips will compile a master spreadsheet of reviewers and assignments. Copies of the reviewer's evaluation form -- UNF Research Committee Summer Scholarship 2005 Grant Evaluation Guidelines -- were distributed to Committee members.

Process for completing the application review

Reviewers will be asked to return the proposals and evaluations to Committee members before November 18. Committee members will deliver the proposals and evaluations to Reinhold Lamb by November 18. Reinhold will tally the scores and summarize comments.

Next meeting

The Committee will meet on Tuesday, November 23, at 1:00 to rank the applications and prepare the list of recommended grant proposals for Academic Affairs.

The meeting was adjourned at 2:00.
