MINUTES OF MEETING
NOMINATIONS AND ELECTIONS COMMITTEE
Friday, April 8, 2005
1:30 PM @ FAMA

Call To Order:

Barbara Olinzock called the meeting to order at 1:30 p.m.

Members Present:

Cynthia Jordan, Russell Mays, Lee Richardson, Barbara Olinzock,
Claudia Scaff

Members Absent:

Lou Woods, Sherif Elfayoumy

Others Attendance:

N/A

I.	Approval of Minutes:
	Minutes of the February meeting were seconded and approved.

II.	Old Business:
	Ballots from the Faculty Association Elections (Standing Faculty Association and University Committees) were counted and verified by committee members present. Judy Solano notified of election results, and the result is attached.

III.	New Business:
	Plans for orientation of new chairperson, Cynthia Jordan planned. Cynthia will be assuming the chairperson position in Fall 2005. Calendar and deadlines to be organized to facilitate change of committee leadership and membership in the fall. Nomination and Election procedures reviewed. Committee goals for 2005-2006 discussed. Committee to explore possibility of conducting elections on Blackboard to facilitate voting process.

IV.	Adjournment & Next Meeting:
	Meeting adjourned at 4:30 p.m. Next meeting to be arranged.
