Minutes of the December 9 meeting were corrected and approved. |

Honorary doctorate for Dave Brubeck - unanimously approved. Judy will formally notify Academic Affairs, and Ellie will announce the approval in the next Faculty Association meeting. |

3. |
Academic Misconduct Policy - extended discussion draft sent by Judy in December about who should receive the committee's report. The committee agreed to excise final repetition of notification distribution. The committee also accepted the suggestion to separate the issue of panel competence from reporting procedures. Judy will redraft this section. Ellie and Kathy will look at other section in order to finalize it. The committee also decided to omit the Faculty Affairs committee from the remedies section, and to give the Provost the task to impose remedies or sanctions. |

Discussed David Courtwrights idea regarding the recording of the memories of retiring faculty. No action. |

Discussed university's strategic planning initiatives. |

6. |
Future meetings of the committee will be at 12:15. |
