ACADEMIC PROGRAMS COMMITTEE
Annual Report
(2010-2011)
Submitted by Dr. Candice C. Carter, Chairperson
The Academic Programs Committee is responsible for reviewing and recommending policies regarding degree requirements, academic programs and major changes in the University’s curriculum. This 2010-2011 report contains a synopsis of our accomplishments, including the action items that were submitted to the Faculty Association as well as the status of work in progress that will be continued during 2011-2012.

APC Workflow System

Use and refinement of a new electronic system for submitting and reviewing APC forms continued throughout and beyond the school year and summer semesters. Prior to the December 7, 2010 deadline to submit APC requests, units may opt to use the new APC Workflow System or use the old APC forms. Effective December 8, 2010, requests to the APC must be submitted online using the APC Workflow System (WfS). Training materials to help those who use the WfS to track, author, or review APC requests are available from the APC Workflow System menu. In addition, trainings for use of the Workflow System were provided in the beginning of the school year and the committee chairs provided ongoing assistance with its use. Opportunities for system refinement were identified during the meetings of the APC. As a result, the system refinement continued to increase the success of the UNF members who used it.
