Review of statistical data for the Summer Teaching grants that was presented as an information item at the March Faculty Association meeting.  No specific notable trends were noted. However, the need was pointed out to continue collecting summary data from the Summer Teaching grants review process and post it on the FEC Blackboard Web site.

Revision of the newly developed (in the fall of 2009) Blackboard site for Summer Teaching grants review.  Several committee members who tested the on-line review forms expressed that they were well set up, self-explanatory, and easy to follow. Minor improvements were suggested such as: saving and submitting answers sometimes resulted in a message that “answers were incomplete”. This is most likely a bug to be reported to the Blackboard development team and the Chair agreed to send a report to them describing the issue. No other problems were reported.

Possible major committee initiatives for the following academic year were discussed.

The next committee meeting will be held (as part of the Committee’s regular schedule) on April 26th (Monday), 2010 at 12:20 pm in 1/2000.
