Two sets of anonymous written questions were submitted for President Delaney. These questions relate to such topics as release of data from the IDEA evaluation of the Provost, potential steps towards establishing more effective academic leadership at UNF, and consideration of term limits for upper administrators, among other subjects. The full text of these questions is available on the FA website at the following link:

QUESTION SYNOPSIS-I:
Mina Baliamoune asked Henry Thomas to provide more specific information about the tenure issue he alluded to in his report.  She felt it was important for faculty, particularly new faculty, to have more information.

QUESTION SYNOPSIS-II:
In the Faculty Handbook, in the Procedures on Promotion and Tenure, Section 5.3 states:
5.3 Promotion and Tenure Policies and Procedures
“Administrators who seek tenure and promotion must do so on the basis of their teaching, scholarship, and service contributions, rather than on the basis of their administrative duties.”
The question for the committee is whether administrative duties in Higher Education are considered “service.”
