Information Item # 3 –Submitted by the Nominations and Elections Committee

The Nominations and Elections Committee is accepting nominees to run for election to serve on the Promotion and Tenure Committee for a two-year term.    Those elected will begin their terms on the committee immediately and  serve until the end of summer 2007 , unless otherwise determined by UFF when the new collective bargaining contract goes into effect.   No Association member may serve on more than two standing committees (excluding the Executive Committee)
at one time nor serve more than two consecutive terms on any one standing committee. Open positions are as follows: 

	>	1 position from COAS
	>	1 position from CCB
	>	1 position from COEHS
	>	2 positions from At-Large

Nominations will be accepted through Tuesday, October 4, 2005 ,  at noon, and then again from the floor at the October Faculty Association meeting. The election will be held immediately after the October 6 Faculty Association meeting outside the meeting room. Voting will continue in the Faculty Association Office of Building 10 (Social Science), Room 1328 through 4:00 p.m.
