QUESTION SYNOPSIS
The policy on Athletic Dept. communication was distributed with faculty. However, there were a couple questions which need to clarify.
1) |
I have received game schedules from coaches when I have their student-athletes in classes to let me know when students will miss class. Though this is a form of coach/faculty communication and I assume this is ok, but would you rather all these be routed through you first? In any event, you may wish to clarify this in the policy. |

|
2) |
If a faculty member has questions about missed classes or requires documentation for missed classes, should the faculty member contact the coach (As in, the student-athlete says "My coach will confirm that we were out of town last week.") or is better to route those communications through you. |
