Spring 2006 Intercollegiate Athletic Committee Report

Fall GPA for student-athletes at UNF was 3.12, the highest ever. This was also the highest GPA in the Atlantic Sun conference. The committee continued to participate in the “Mid-Year Reviews” for student-athletes whose academic performance places them in academic jeopardy. I wish to thank the faculty who assisted with this important process.

A visit by the Atlantic Sun conference in the fall to examine our NCAA compliance procedures was successful, the report noting that we have “an outstanding institutional compliance program.”

A new policy has been put in place regarding communications between athletic department personnel and faculty/staff, which is copied below. If problems arise, do not hesitate to contact Wes Maas.
