Who will serve on each committee?
		Why the change in procedure to move the committees from Faculty Association to United Faculty of Florida?
		Will ALL faculty members be eligible to vote? Only unit? Only Union?
		Will there be a differentiation between unit members and union members?

In a document entitled

“UFF/UNF Executive Board Meeting With President Delaney, December 7, 2004, 2:30 p.m. Grievance Procedure Process Points” (Attachment A)*

numerous allegations are made about the conduct and qualifications of College of Computing, Engineering, and Construction faculty members. Some allegations are:

1. Police were present at department and college meetings
2. A CCEC in-unit faculty member is not qualified to teach in his department
3. CCEC in-unit and out-of-unit faculty are engaged in illegal activity with an outside company
4. The CCEC dean did not properly conduct a search for a department chair

Subsequently, investigations by UNF’s Inspector General’s Office, Equal Opportunity Programs Office, and Provost’s Office, found no basis for any of the allegations.

Additionally, page 5 of that document contains numerous errors about the academic preparation and professional experiences of in-unit and out-of-unit CCEC faculty members and asserts some CCEC faculty members form “A Good Old Boys Club Gone Bad”. These issues were addressed in a recent message to President John Delaney (Attachment B)* .

Article II of the UFF/UNF constitution states UFF objectives are to:

		To bring faculty and professional employees of the University into a relationship of mutual assistance and cooperation in order to obtain and maintain for them the rights and privileges to which they are entitled.
		To promote a high degree of democratization at the University, which will enable members of the university community to better serve the people of the State of Florida.
		To achieve and safeguard due process and academic freedom.
		To combat all forms of illegal discrimination.

In this context, please reply to the following questions.

1. What vetting process, if any, occurred before UFF presented these allegations to President Delaney? Especially, were the accused informed and allowed to respond before or during the meeting?
2. What response, if any, does UFF have now that the various investigative reports are available?
3. What action does UFF plan to take, if any, against UFF members who made these serious and fraudulent charges against other faculty (as provided under Article 6 of the UFF bylaws)?
